Pomeroy - Civil War Monument - GPS Coordinates: 42.554966 by -94.678666
This is a nice memorial in Union Cemetery. It is 15 feet high. It was dedicated in 1900. The cemetery is on the north side of Pomeroy off Highway 4. The location in the cemetery is in the NE section by the flagpole. The first photo was taken 4/29/08. The second photo, showing the inscription on the front of the monument, was taken 9/16/19.

This is a nice 15 foot monument on the NE corner of the courthouse square. It was dedicated in 1917 by the WRC. The first photo was taken 8/17/10. The close up photos were taken 9/16/19. Also shown is an old undated postcard provided by Danny Krock.
