Adair - Regimental Plaque - GPS Coordinates: 41.490553 by -94.639721
This plaque is dedicated to members of Company I, 29th Iowa Infantry Regiment. This unit was composed of many members from this region around Adair. Members of the SUVCW Col. William H. Kinsman Camp and the SVR unit, Co B, 10th Iowa, held a dedication ceremony in May, 2015. Attending the ceremony was 101 year old Sadie Wesack (seated in the final photo). She was a WAC in World War II and her grandfather was a CW Veteran. The monument is on the eastern edge of Sunnyhill Cemetery, which is just south of Exit 76 off I-80. Photos taken May 23, 2015.
